Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, has publicly addressed the embezzlement scandal involving several billion FCFA at the Ministry of Humanitarian Action, a department crucial for managing the welfare of thousands displaced by terrorism.According to Burkina Information Agency, President Traoré disclosed the existence of a criminal network within the Ministry, following a formal complaint that led to an investigation. The President expressed his dismay, emphasizing the severity of the situation given the current security and humanitarian challenges facing the country.Speaking from Ouagadougou, Captain Traoré highlighted the ministry's role in safeguarding the most vulnerable, particularly internally displaced persons. He praised the police for their thorough investigation, which resulted in the seizure of significant assets, including luxury vehicles.
