Silly: The Special Delegation of the municipality of Silly conducted its second ordinary session of the year, under the leadership of Prefect and President of the Special Delegation Christophe Bonkoungou. The session, held on July 2, 2026, focused on the election of a new vice-president, the review of thematic presentations, and the adoption of three significant resolutions.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the session commenced by amending the minutes from the previous meeting, followed by the election of Comrade Amed Aliou Bazemo, head of the departmental Livestock Service, as the new second vice-president. The session featured a presentation by PDS Christophe Bonkoungou, who introduced the innovations of the new General Code of Local Authorities, which was adopted in December 2025. Key changes include a new classification system for municipalities based on financial capacity and population size, categorizing them as medium-sized, full-sized, or with special status.

In another presentation, Comrade Joachin Bouda discussed the agro-sylvo-pastoral offensive guidelines for the 2026-2027 agricultural campaign. Meanwhile, Julcarnine Napon, Head of the Basic Education District, reported a 90.29% pass rate for the Primary School Leaving Certificate exams in 2026. Additionally, Herve Benon from the land and rural property service updated on the establishment of Village Land Commissions in 23 out of 31 villages.

The session concluded with the unanimous adoption of three resolutions concerning the review of the town hall's organizational chart, leasing terms for the shea nut processing center, and the continuation of the land subdivision process initiated in 2009. Chairman Christophe Bonkoungou thanked all participants for their contributions to the session's success.
