Silly: Education stakeholders in the Silly Basic Education District (CEB) participated in the traditional New Year's greetings ceremony for their head, Julcarnine Napon, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. This meeting, held at the Agro-Pastoral Training Center (CFAP), provided an opportunity to review the positive academic performance and outline new challenges for 2026.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the reception hall at the CFAP in Silly was filled for the New Year's greetings ceremony for the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB), Julcarnine Napon. Presided over by the Prefect, President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Silly, the ceremony brought together teachers, administrative staff, traditional authorities, and school partners.
Speaking on behalf of the teachers, Rahamane Ou©draogo praised the CCEB's "hands-on management" and "results-oriented governance." He listed the achievements of the past year, citing among other things the 84.21% pass rate on the CEP (Primary School Leaving Certificate) and the 100% pass rate on the CSAP© (Certificate of Aptitude for Primary School Leaving Certificate), the training of candidates for professional exams, and the effective implementation of locally driven reforms such as the wearing of Faso Dan Fani/Koko Donda fabric and the promotion of school gardens.
The spokesperson also emphasized the crucial role of the "Rapid Intervention Brigades for Education" (BIRE), these local educational support workers who provide coverage throughout the municipality. While offering wishes of health and peace to the mayor, he advocated for continued efforts to upgrade infrastructure, particularly at the Br©di© B school.
In response, CCEB Julcarnine Napon expressed his gratitude for this mark of consideration, which he considered a "barometer of good cooperation." Before speaking, he led a minute of silence in memory of the victims of terrorism and the defenders of the homeland.
In his review of the year 2025, Mr. Napon expressed his satisfaction with the reopening of all schools previously closed due to insecurity, highlighting the resilience of the education system in Silly. He noted with satisfaction an increase of more than four percentage points in the CEP (Certificate of Primary Education) pass rate compared to 2024.
However, the CCEB has faced persistent challenges, including a lack of logistical resources for supervision and the precarious working conditions of some staff. "The goal for the 2026 session is to achieve a pass rate of at least 95% on the CEP," he told his colleagues, urging them to demonstrate "unwavering patriotism" and "increased professionalism" in this context of national renewal.
Among the prospects for the year 2026, Julcarnine Napon announced the elimination of classes under precarious shelters, with construction already underway in Dio and Br©di© B. The ceremony ended in a convivial atmosphere, thus strengthening the cohesion between the actors of the educational world of the commune of Silly.
