Sissili/Civisme: AEEMB Cleans Up Public Services in Leo

Sissili: The Association of Muslim Students and Pupils of Burkina Faso (AEEMB) organized a clean-up day on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, for two public services in the city of Leo, in the province of Sissili, aiming to promote civic responsibility and strengthen the link between youth and the administration.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the cleanup operation involved the Provincial Directorate of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training (DPESFPT) as well as the Leo Municipal Police Directorate. Sada Kabore, the national president of AEEMB, mentioned that this initiative is part of the association's provincial Islamic training seminars, launched on March 22, 2026, throughout the country. He indicated that this civic activity aims to respond to the authorities' call for the population, particularly young people, to engage in civic action.

"On the sidelines of our seminar, we wanted to take a concrete step of civic engagement to contribute to improving our living environment and strengthening collaboration with the administration," he stated.

The beneficiaries welcomed the initiative. Apollinaire Mika«l Sow, representative of the Sissili Departmental Directorate of Public Works, Social and Professional Training (DPESFPT), described the action as a "patriotic gesture," emphasizing the commitment and discipline of the participants. "Thanks to this mobilization, our service, once unsanitary, now offers a clean and pleasant environment," he rejoiced.

At the municipal police station, the commander's representative, Malick Zio, also expressed his satisfaction, calling the activity "highly beneficial." He encouraged the community to follow this example by becoming more involved in sanitation efforts. 'The municipality cannot do everything alone. It is together that we can maintain the cleanliness of our living environment,' he argued.

The AEEMB organizes these training seminars every year, which aim to strengthen the spiritual and civic capacities of its members.
