Sissili: The official start of the 2026 school examinations was given this Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in the province of Sissili. Administrative authorities simultaneously launched the Primary School Certificate (CEP) and Junior High School Certificate (BEPC) exams, as well as vocational exams, placing this session under the banner of serenity and patriotic commitment. According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch took place at jury 1 in the Leo-Kutian center "A", thus marking the start of the written tests of the CEP and the entrance competition to 6th grade, session of 2026. On this occasion, the province's top official took the opportunity to "commend the teaching staff for their efforts throughout the school year," while also inviting candidates to have faith in their abilities.
The Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education of Sissili (DPEPPNF), Soungalo Traor©, reported that the province has 6039 candidates and only the Basic Education District (CEB) of L©o has 11 composition centers distributed in two juries. Traor© assured that all organizational arrangements had been rigorously taken in the province to guarantee optimal running, noting in passing that the children were showing very good mental dispositions.
At the same time, secondary school exams were starting at the B©r©kia center. The Secretary General of the province (SGP), Baowindsida Bingo, representing the High Commissioner, presided over the official launch of the BEPC, Brevet d'©tudes professionnelles (BEP) and Certificat d'aptitude professionnelle (CAP) exams. 'We gathered at this center to witness the opening of the first envelope. But before that, we wanted to send a message of support and encouragement to all the candidates,' said Mr. Bingo. He also expressed his deep gratitude to the supervisors and the team at the Provincial Directorate of Post-Primary and Secondary Education for the success of the organization.
The choice of the B©r©kia center, which houses jury 6, is of a strategic nature, according to the Provincial Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training (DPESFPT) of Sissili, Lawabien Serge To©. "It is a mixed site which brings together both general education and vocational education, which fits perfectly with the overall vision of our ministry engaged in major reforms," he explained.
