Gnagna: The High Commissioner of the province of Gnagna, Jean Baptiste Beogo, presided over the opening ceremony of the conference of administrative staff of secondary establishments of the province at the Bogande provincial high school. This session, held from November 4 to 7, 2025, aims to strengthen the capacity of administrative officials in the management of educational institutions and the ongoing educational reforms in Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this conference is part of the implementation of the national education policy and reflects the Burkinabe government's commitment to a thorough reform of the education system to make it more efficient, relevant, and aligned with the needs of the job market. Tiewende J. Balima, Provincial Director of Secondary Education and Technical Training for Gnagna, stated, "the goal is to provide administrative staff with the necessary tools to support the major innovations introduced into our education system."

For four days, participants will be trained and made aware of the main ongoing reforms, including the creation of multi-purpose schools, the introduction of vocational training, the establishment of school councils, and the strengthening of civic and citizenship education. These themes reflect the commitment of the Ministry of Secondary Education to building a more inclusive and resilient school system in the face of current economic and security challenges.

At the end of this session, participants will have grasped the key concepts of school management and discipline, mastered the texts relating to the creation of multi-purpose schools and vocational training, and adopted civic-minded teaching practices that promote the values of peace, tolerance, and responsibility.

According to High Commissioner Jean Baptiste Beogo, "these reforms represent a major turning point for our education system, as they bring school closer to life, work, and the community." He invited participants to "make the most of these moments of collective reflection to strengthen their skills, improve their practices, and consolidate their commitment to quality education."

The Bogande conference thus illustrates the national dynamic of structural transformation of education in Burkina Faso, focused on quality, citizenship, and the professional integration of young people.
