Bobo-dioulasso: The 2025 Regional Culture Week (RCW) of the Houet Autonomous Region concluded at the Bobo-Dioulasso Friendship Theater. After three days of competition, 10 artistic troupes, 4 culinary arts candidates, 9 athletes in traditional sports, and 10 visual artists, including 6 painters and 4 sculptors, were selected to represent Houet at the 2026 RWC.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the closing ceremony was chaired by Siaka Coulibaly, technical advisor, who represented the governor of the Guiriko region. He acknowledged the creativity, passion, and discipline of the candidates, encouraging them to maintain this momentum to honor the region during the upcoming National Culture Week (SNC), scheduled for 2026 in Bobo-Dioulasso.

The event focused on promoting local cultural heritage and brought together artists, traditional troupes, visual artists, chefs, and athletes from various communes of Houet. The performances showcased the diversity and vitality of the region’s cultural heritage.
