S©no: The Grand Chancellery of Burkinabe Orders organized a training session on Friday in Dori for about thirty communicators from the Liptako region, on the appropriate use of the symbols of the Nation and respect for the decoration ceremony in the processing of information.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the chief of staff of the Grand Chancellor of the Burkinabe Orders, Ilassa Herv© Romba, stated that this training is part of the 1st phase of the 3rd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC). He specified that the objective is to promote the symbols of the State, the Burkinabe orders as well as the values they embody. "Some citizens want to express their patriotism through the use of state attributes, but do so with many shortcomings," he noted.
To enable participants to better process information related to state symbols and honorary distinctions, several presentations were given. They focused in particular on the history of the Grand Chancellery of the Burkinabe Orders, the different Burkinabe Orders and the symbols of the State. Mr. Romba invited communicators to fully play their role as awareness-raising actors by providing accurate information that complies with the texts.
The Secretary General of the Liptako region, Auguste Kinda, welcomed and congratulated the Grand Chancellery for the initiative. He considered that this activity, by its relevance, contributes to the consolidation of the foundations of Burkina Faso, in a context where the strengthening of civic values is more than necessary. Mr. Kinda reminded everyone that the symbols of the Nation should not be perceived as mere decorative or protocol elements. "They constitute the living expression of our collective history, our struggles, our sacrifices and our common hopes," he argued.
For Auguste Kinda, the national emblem, the anthem, the coat of arms, the motto and the honorary distinctions are elements that reflect the soul of the Nation. The Secretary General urged participants to demonstrate diligence, open-mindedness and commitment in order to make the most of the training and contribute to a better appreciation of the symbols of the State.
