Sons and Daughters of Sanaba Unite for Development Initiatives

Daman©: The sons and daughters of the commune of Sanaba, gathered within the Association for the Development of the Commune of Sanaba (ADCS), met on Saturday, May 16, 2026, to relaunch the development activities of their locality. The Association for the Development of the Commune of Sanaba (ADCS), which brings together the people of the commune, met under the leadership of the chief of the canton of Sanaba, His Majesty Y©zouma Coulibaly, in order to revitalize development actions that have long been slowed down by the displacement of populations due to the security crisis.

According to Burkina Information Agency, after the welcome address by His Majesty, the outgoing president of ADCS, Mrs. Sanou n©e Dakuyo Assita, set the scene before handing the floor to the treasurer for the presentation of the report of activities carried out from 2023 to 2026 for the benefit of the populations, IDPs, VDPs, schools, women, and young people of the commune. During this period, ADCS and its partners, notably ISANABA, carried out several social and community actions: food and health support to displaced populations, support for VDP, rehabilitation of boreholes, acquisition of medicines, provision of school kits, agricultural equipment, aid to widows and orphans, as well as support for educational structures.

This assembly resulted in the renewal of the executive committee, composed of 11 members and now headed by Mr. Sidib© Lassina. It also served as a forum to present new development projects for the municipality of Sanaba. Among the prospects are the administrative regularization of the association, the rehabilitation of the youth grove, the construction of the ADCS headquarters, the monitoring of the women's garden as well as training for young people and women in agro-sylvo-pastoral income-generating activities.

To carry out these new projects, the executive office has sought the support, guidance, and financial backing of local authorities, partners, and all the sons and daughters of the commune of Sanaba. After the discussions, assessments, and various communications, the participants carried out field visits, notably to the youth grove and the women's garden.

The activities concluded with a community meal bringing together ADCS members, local authorities, guests, and the people of Sanaba in a spirit of cohesion, fraternity, and solidarity.
