Sourou: The Burkina Suudu Bawde (BSB) vocational training center in Tougan has launched a comprehensive modular training program aimed at equipping over 2,000 young people and women from the Sourou province with practical skills. The program, which commenced on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, offers training in a variety of trades.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the center's director, Flotin Saba, outlined that the participants will engage in modules including the making of the Koko Dunda loincloth, dyeing and weaving, sewing machine operation, production of body creams and pain relievers, window installation, soap making, and shower gel production.
Mr. Saba emphasized that the primary aim of the modular training is to assist the beneficiaries in achieving socio-professional integration. "After making the Koko Dunda loincloths, we will move on to soap making and the other modules. The objective is to enable the participants to become entrepreneurs," he explained.
He further mentioned that registration for the training is ongoing, with plans to train between 2,000 and 3,000 young people and women through this initiative.
