Sourou: The High Commissioner of Sourou province, D©sir© Badolo, urged baccalaureate candidates on Tuesday the 23rd to approach the exams calmly, without stress and in compliance with instructions, during the official launch of the written and oral exams for the 2026 session at the Tougan municipal high school.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner, accompanied by a large delegation, officially launched the written and oral baccalaureate exams for the 2026 session. He emphasized the importance of calmness and concentration during the tests and strongly advised against any attempts at cheating.
The High Commissioner highlighted the need for candidates to achieve results that reflect the sacrifices made by the Defense and Security Forces, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland, as well as their educators and parents.
Joseph Karambiri, the provincial director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training of Sourou, expressed gratitude for the support of the High Commissioner and the delegation. He noted a decrease in the number of candidates compared to the previous session, with 592 candidates this year, down from 690 last year. The candidates are divided between series A and D at the provincial and municipal high schools.
Karambiri also acknowledged the role of the defense and security forces in the successful organization of school examinations. This year, 592 candidates, including 317 girls and 275 boys, are participating in the exams, divided between two examination boards located in Tougan.
