Ouagadougou: The sons and daughters of Bangassogo, located in the commune of Kiembara, donated food supplies valued at 351,000 CFA francs to the local armed forces on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The donation was handed over in Tougan, witnessed by the second vice-president of the Kiembara special delegation, Moumouni Sow, and representatives of the beneficiaries.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation includes 10 bags of 50 kg rice, five cartons of spaghetti, a carton of Lipton tea, a 20-litre can of oil, Nescaf, cans of tomatoes, sugar, and salt. This gesture aims to support the armed forces in recognition of their ongoing efforts.

Souleymane Lall, known as "the King of AES," and the donors' representative, emphasized the importance of backing the fighting forces. He expressed that the donation reflects their intent to support the forces amid the current circumstances. Lall also mentioned that contributions would continue and additional donations are planned for the coming months.

Moumouni Sow, the second vice-president of the special delegation of Kiembara, received the donation on behalf of Basile Syan, the prefect and president of the special delegation of the commune. Sow praised the donors' initiative and urged continued unity and solidarity with the forces until victory is achieved.

Additionally, Sow highlighted that reopening schools for the upcoming school year in these localities remains a priority for the PDS of Kiembara and his delegation.
