Sourou: The non-governmental organization Terre des hommes Lausanne (Tdh-L), as part of a project titled Emergency Assistance for the Protection of Populations Affected by the Security Crisis, has provided dignity kits to 240 adolescent girls and women in Tougan, Sourou. This initiative, executed by a consortium of organizations including Humanity and Inclusion (HI) and the Burkina Faso Red Cross (CRBF), took place on Monday, September 22, 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Pascal Vivien YONLI, the project manager, stated that the donation aims to strengthen the resilience of populations affected by the crisis, with a focus on women who are often marginalized. He emphasized that these kits are intended to uphold the dignity of the recipients by helping them manage their daily activities safely and healthily, reducing the risk of infections and violence.

YONLI further mentioned that a total of six hundred dignity kits, procured according to standards, are scheduled for distribution in the near future. Claire (a pseudonym), one of the recipients, expressed gratitude for the donation, highlighting its significance for her and her family.
