R©o: The special delegation of the commune of R©o concluded its second extraordinary session of the year, which was held at the town hall on July 23 and 24, 2025, with a focus on essential structuring projects.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting, chaired by the chief executive of the municipality, Sindi Issaka Zagr©, served as an important platform for examining and adopting several initiatives related to local management. The first day featured technical presentations that laid the groundwork for analyzing the various deliberations.
The session's discussions centered on reviewing a contract between the municipality of R©o and Vergnet Burkina SARL for the management of the Bonyolo simplified drinking water supply (AEPS). The goal was to update the contract to align with the latest standard model in collaboration with the provincial directorate of water, sanitation, and the environment. SAGRACY Consulting, representing the Agricultural Entrepreneurship Promotion Support Project (PAPEA), presented a plan to construct a pig market in the municipality, which required a co-financing agreement authorized by the special delegation.
Additionally, the session addressed the transfer of a pilot mercury-free ore processing site in Guido to the village's artisanal mining cooperative, pending community approval.
On the second day, members reviewed and adopted resolutions from the previous day's communications, culminating in a certificate presentation ceremony for contributors to the development of the municipality's simplified solid waste management plan.
At the session's conclusion, Mr. Zagr© expressed appreciation for the active participation of the special delegation members and reiterated his commitment to advancing the local development of R©o.
