Sissili: The special delegation of the municipality of Leo adopted on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, its initial budget for management 2026, which amounts to 395,663,840 FCFA. Meeting in fourth ordinary session on November 26 and 27, 2025, the members of the special delegation of Leo examined and validated the initial budget of the municipality for the 2026 financial year.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the report presented by the authorizing officer, the Secretary General of the town hall, Saidou Ouedraogo, and the report of the Economic and Financial Affairs Commission (CAEF), this budget, set at the sum of 395,663,840 FCFA, will serve as a reference for the implementation of development actions and the functioning of the municipal administration.
In addition to the budget, the 19 delegates present approved the 2026 Annual Investment Plan (AIP), which outlines the municipality's priority projects. During the meeting, chaired by the President of the Special Delegation (PDS), Kassoum Koalaga, the body also authorized the signing of an agreement with the Public Interest Group/National Volunteer Program of Burkina Faso (GIP/PNVB). This partnership will provide one national volunteer per year to support municipal services.
The PDS took the opportunity to invite all delegates to a greater involvement in revenue collection. "Each member of the delegation must work, within their sphere of influence, to identify funding opportunities and strengthen our municipality's own revenues," he urged. The work concluded on a note of general satisfaction with the constructive spirit that prevailed during the discussions.
