Tuy: Omar Traor, the special envoy to the Presidency of Faso for the Guiriko region, met on Friday, January 23, 2026, with key stakeholders in the commune of Hound, as part of a tour to exchange ideas and raise awareness about the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP).
According to Burkina Information Agency, following visits to the communes of Koti, Founzan, Brba, and Boni, the commune of Hound marked the next stop on this tour led by the special envoy, accompanied by members of the CNAVC/Tuy. The purpose was to engage directly with local stakeholders on the fundamental principles of the Popular Progressive Revolution (PPR) and the challenges of citizen mobilization.
In his address, Mr. Traor emphasized citizen participation, urging all stakeholders to actively participate in public works, pay their taxes, and strengthen collaboration with the Defense and Security Forces (FDS). He also stressed the values of patriotism, civic duty, and civic engagement, calling on everyone to contribute to the success of the Popular Progressive Revolution. In this regard, he cited the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) and the Patriotic Support Fund as examples of such initiatives.
Addressing the achievements, the special envoy highlighted the progress made in the fight against terrorism, particularly regarding equipment, weapons, and positive results in securing the national territory. He also emphasized the advances achieved in industrialization.
Turning to the challenges, Mr. Traor presented the presidential initiatives implemented within the framework of the Presidential Reform Program (PRP), aimed at reducing poverty, strengthening civic education, and promoting national history and culture. In conclusion, he called upon all stakeholders to demonstrate solidarity, unity, and understanding, while urging everyone to reflect on their personal contribution to the success of the RPP.
The ensuing discussions allowed key stakeholders to share experiences, testimonies, and concerns, while reaffirming their support for Captain Ibrahim Traor and their commitment to the Popular Progressive Revolution. They also called on the authorities to continue the transparent and inclusive management of public affairs.
The special envoy, Omar Traor, thanked all the community leaders and encouraged them to be ambassadors for the ideals of the Popular Progressive Revolution within their communities.
