Boulgou: The Zonse Basic Education District (CEB) organized the Arts and Culture Days on April 29 and 30, 2026, around the theme: 'Sport and Culture in Primary School: A Lever for Solidarity and Living Together in a Context of Security Challenges.' This initiative aimed to strengthen students' cultural awareness and promote social cohesion.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch of activities on April 29th was marked by the wearing of traditional attire in CEB schools. Through this initiative, students and teachers celebrated the richness and diversity of Burkinab¨ culture in an atmosphere filled with pride.
April 30th was dedicated to the finals of the cultural competitions. Primary schools showcased their talent in storytelling and traditional dance, set to music chosen by a Burkinab¨ artist. These performances highlighted the students' artistic potential and their understanding of cultural values.
At the end of the competitions, the Zonse A school won first prize in storytelling, while the Diarra school distinguished itself by taking first place in traditional dance.
The Head of the Zonse Basic Education District (CCEB), Toboure Yigo, commended the mobilization of educational stakeholders and encouraged schools to further integrate culture into their teaching practices. According to him, schools must remain a crucible for the transmission of cultural values, a guarantee of social cohesion and resilience.
Through these artistic and cultural days, the CEB of Zonse reaffirmed its commitment to making the school a space for promoting living together, solidarity and peace.
