Sport, Arts and Culture mourns with the nation on passing of Actor, Luzuko Nteleko

The entertainment industry has suffered yet another loss. South Africa is still reeling from shock at the devastating news of the passing of Luzuko Nteleko, who passed away on Monday 21 June at age 36.

Nteleko had an illustrious career as an actor and has featured in big productions such as Zone 14, Muvhango, Isidingo and Ring of Lies. He also made a name for himself on the international scene after filming the LGBTQI+ TV Series, About Him featuring Milan Christopher, as well as a British history documentary series, Zero Hour.

Upon hearing of the news of Nteleko’s passing, Minister Nathi Mthethwa said, “It is tragic to lose such immense talent, especially at such a young age. Luzuko was described by those closest to him as love personified. He was a sterling actor who had ammassed an impressive on-screen profile. His multilingulism gave him an added flair in every role that he portrayed. I would like to say to his family that your loss is our loss”.

The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture extends its deepest sympathies to the Nteleko family. May his friends and loved ones be comforted in the fact that his spirit will continue to be with us through his work.
