Tannounyan: The Organizing Committee Of The International Waterfall Festival (FESTICAS) Held A Press Conference At Lake Tengrela To Present To The Media The Activities Included In The Program Of The Second Edition Scheduled From April 4 To 11, 2026, In Banfora.

According To Burkina Information Agency, This Meeting With The Press Served As A Framework For Discussions On The Ambitions And Major Innovations Planned For This New Edition, Which Is Focused On Cultural And Touristic Development. The Organizers Reiterated That FESTICAS Aims To Be A Lever For Promoting The Rich Natural, Artistic, And Cultural Heritage Of The Region While Contributing To Local Economic Development And Strengthening Social Cohesion.

The Second Edition Is Placed Under The Patronage Of The Minister Of State, Minister Of Agriculture, Animal And Fisheries Resources, Isma«l Sombie, The Co-Patronage Of The Minister Of Communication, Culture, Arts And Tourism, Pingdwende Gilbert Ouedraogo, And Under The Chairmanship Of The Governor Of The Tannounyan Region, Patrice Yeye. Building On The Success Of Its Inaugural Edition In April 2025, The Festival Aims To Reach New Heights Through A More Structured And Inclusive Organization.

Several Major Activities Are Planned, Including Guided Tours Of Iconic Sites, Public Concerts, Craft And Food Exhibitions, Thematic Panels, Training Programs For Young People And Women, As Well As Cultural And Sporting Competitions. The Commissioner General Of FESTICAS, Mamadou Kone, Known As Yougoss, Expressed His Gratitude To The Highest Authorities Of Burkina Faso For Their Renewed Support For The Organization Of This Second Edition, In Particular To The Relevant Ministries And The Regional Authority.
