Tannounyan: Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo officially inaugurated four hemodialysis centers, 18 Health and Social Promotion Centers (CSPS), and 49 community health posts across Burkina Faso on Saturday in Banfora. In his speech read by the Minister of Health, Ou©draogo affirmed that these achievements reflect the vision of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, who has made health a government priority.
According to Burkina Information Agency, while restoring security across the entire territory remains the primary national challenge, the authorities also aim to improve living conditions through social actions. The inauguration of these infrastructures is a step forward in strengthening the national health system.
With the commissioning of new hemodialysis centers in Banfora, Dori, Fada N'Gourma, and D©dougou, Burkina Faso now has a total of seven hemodialysis centers, exceeding the number built since the first center opened in 2000. The Prime Minister highlighted the impact of these achievements, citing a dialysis patient who will now receive care locally instead of traveling between Banfora and Bobo-Dioulasso.
The 18 newly inaugurated primary healthcare centers are located in regions including Nasinon, Goulmou, Tannounyan, and Guiriko, aiming to bring healthcare closer to the population. Ou©draogo emphasized the importance of community involvement in maintaining these facilities and supporting healthcare workers.
He also highlighted the crucial role of human resources in the health system's performance, praising healthcare workers for their professionalism and dedication. The Government is committed to necessary reforms and investments to improve healthcare access and quality, in line with the President's vision.
These health infrastructures represent an investment of over five billion CFA francs, demonstrating the authorities' dedication to equitable healthcare access nationwide.
