Tapoa Baccalaureate 2026: 226 Candidates Commence Exams at Diapaga and Kantchari Centers


Tapoa: The written exams for the 2026 baccalaureate officially began this Tuesday, June 23, in the Tapoa province. Presided over by the provincial secretary general, Martin Zoundi, the launch ceremony was held simultaneously in Diapaga and Kantchari.



According to Burkina Information Agency, a total of 226 candidates, comprising 104 girls and 122 boys, are participating in the exams divided between the Diapaga and Kantchari centers. The Diapaga center is hosting 159 candidates, including 74 girls and 85 boys. Meanwhile, the Kantchari center accommodates 67 candidates, with 30 girls and 37 boys. Both centers are covering the A and D series of the baccalaureate exams.



Boureima Ou©draogo, head of the Diapaga center, assured that all necessary measures have been implemented to ensure the exams proceed smoothly. These measures include the timely delivery of exam papers, a reliable power supply, and the provision of first aid.



At 7:30 a.m., the provincial secretary general, Martin Zoundi, visited Untaani High School in Diapaga. After exchanging customary pleasantries, he offered advice to the candidates. “Despite the difficult security situation in Tapoa province, we chose school. These 226 candidates are acts of resistance,” remarked Mr. Zoundi. He further encouraged the supervisors to be rigorous and the candidates to remain focused, emphasizing that “Tapoa is counting on you to honor the province. Let merit speak for itself.”



The results of the first round of exams are anticipated on July 2, 2026. The second round is scheduled to begin on July 6 and conclude on July 9. Polling stations in Burkina Faso are set to close on July 10.
