Tapoa: A total of 143 out of 144 registered candidates actually took part on Tuesday in the Brevet d'©tudes du premier cycle (BEPC) exams, 2026 session, in the commune of Kantchari, Tapoa province, AIB has learned.

According to Burkina Information Agency, statistics from the single center in Kantchari showed that 144 candidates were registered, including 56 boys and 88 girls. Of these, 143 candidates, comprising 55 boys and 88 girls, were present for the exams.

Only one candidate, a male, was recorded as absent from the examination process. Officials at the center also indicated that two students from Diapaga, who were in a convoy, managed to reach Kantchari in time to participate in the tests.

This session holds special significance for the municipality of Kantchari. It marks the third consecutive year that the BEPC exam has been organized there since the resumption of educational activities in 2023. Educational authorities also noted that this is the first time since the reopening that the tests are being conducted inside the school itself, a development welcomed by education stakeholders and local populations.
