Accra:Technical services from social action, youth integration (ROPI), rural land service, and the district police station visited the villages of Gouim and Rihalo on Thursday, October 15. The mission was led by Aminata Diallo, Prefect and President of the special delegation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation engaged with the residents of Gouim at the CEG, where each department elaborated on its specific roles. A key issue addressed was the high dropout rate of CEG students, with some leaving for gold mining sites and others for marriage. The delegation emphasized the importance of keeping students in school.
In Rihalo, after discussions about the missions of various services, the delegation visited the VDP agricultural field. This field, spanning fifteen hectares, includes crops like maize, peanuts, and okra. Despite inconsistent rainfall, the field was in good condition. The agricultural VDPs raised concerns about equipment shortages and drilling issues.
The President praised the agricultural efforts and promised to convey their concerns to the relevant authorities, encouraging continued progress for community benefits.
