Ipelc©:A teenager lost his life after being struck by lightning on the morning of Sunday, September 20, 2026, in the village of Sandeba, while heading to the Ipelc© market. He was traveling in the rain to sell vegetables.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the young man, hailing from the village of Doulougou, was found with an overturned bicycle and scattered tomatoes, marking the violence of the incident.

Eyewitnesses reported that two young men had left Doulougou towards the market when the tragedy struck near Sandeba. They quickly alerted authorities to report the incident.

In addition to official reports, traditional leaders were consulted as per local customs in such situations. A local witness urged increased vigilance during thunderstorms, noting it was the second lightning incident in Ipelc© that week.
