Tenado: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Tenado, Asm¨de Dianda, presided over the solemn raising of the national colors at the Departmental High School. This event marked the local commencement of the 3rd National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Civic Participation (JEPPC).
According to Burkina Information Agency, this ceremony provided an opportunity to promote the "My Plate, My Pride" concept. Administrative staff from the municipality of Tenado and members of the education community gathered at the high school to partake in the flag-raising ceremony. The national anthem, sung by the students, accompanied the flag being raised, signaling the start of the JEPPC activities.
The President of the Special Delegation of Tenado, Asm¨de Dianda, conveyed the official message from the President of Burkina Faso. The message emphasized the importance of food sovereignty as a cornerstone of economic independence, urging citizens to adopt a strategy of producing, processing, and consuming local products.
This year's theme, "Food sovereignty and economic patriotism: together, let us cultivate our dignity through local production and consumption," aims to instill the values of endogenous development among the populace. PDS Dianda encouraged students and staff to act as "ambassadors of economic patriotism," advocating for local product promotion in both public and private sectors.
Through this symbolic act, Tenado reaffirms its commitment to initiatives that bolster national dignity through food self-sufficiency.
