Ouagadougou: The Minister of Defense, Kassoum Coulibaly indicated that the military hierarchy and the Combatant Forces will meet every first Thursday of the month to inquire about the concerns of subordinates and give new instructions for the fight against terrorism.'We wanted to try to bring together everyone within the gendarmerie to give some indications on the progress of the entire force, (…). We will do it every first Thursday of the month to convey certain messages from the command and collect the essential concerns of subordinates,' declared the minister.For the Minister of State for Defense, Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly who spoke during the raising of the national colors at the Paspanga camp of the national gendarmerie, the initiative aims to strengthen communication between the hierarchy of the army and subordinates.According to him, it is not easy to find out about the reality on the ground while being in the offices.'In this sense we will now keep (this action) as a tradition so tha t the ministers and the different leaders who are behind me here, we can meet in a given camp to communicate with the troops,' the minister clarified.In this context of the fight against terrorism, it is up to leaders to remind subordinates of expectations and give them directives and indications for synergy of action on the ground, he maintained.Minister Kassoum Coulibaly also reassured all Burkinabè of the good cohesion that currently exists between the different fighting forces engaged in the theater of operations.According to recent information from the front, the Burkinabè army has recorded numerous resounding victories on the battlefield against terrorism.This is the result of the perfect collaboration between the different entities of the FDS and VDP, concluded Minister Kassoum Coulibaly.Source: Burkina Information Agency
