Sissili/education: The 2026 Baccalaureate session kicked off in L©o under the banner of resilience and excellence. The High Commissioner of Sissili Province, T©wend© Isaac Sia, officially launched the 2026 baccalaureate session this Tuesday at the L©o Municipal High School. A total of 922 candidates, divided into four examination boards, are preparing to take the exams in the province, aiming to repeat, or even surpass, the previous year’s results.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the exams began at L©o Municipal High School, presided over by High Commissioner T©wend© Isaac Sia. On the first day, examination boards 344 and 345 accommodated candidates in the A4-Philosophy series. Provincial authorities provided moral support, with T©wend© Isaac Sia encouraging candidates to aim for a perfect score and advising them to remain focused.
The Provincial Director of Secondary, Vocational, and Technical Education for Sissili, Serge Lawabien To©, emphasized resilience and warned against cheating. He highlighted that any fraud attempt would be punished to maintain a flawless session. Efforts were made by the administration to boost student morale, and satisfactory results in the last term suggest a positive outcome.
Dr. Parfait Bako, president of jury 345, assured that his team was well-prepared and vigilant. He noted that all necessary materials were received without any difficulties, ensuring smooth proceedings. The Provincial Director confirmed the situation was under control but called for continued vigilance to preserve the exam’s integrity.
Candidates showed determination despite some stress. Wendlasida Fadila Sawadogo mentioned strategies to manage stress and advised against cheating. Similarly, Salomon Zizien expressed confidence in his preparation and urged classmates to persevere.
This year, Sissili Province registered a total of 922 candidates across all series A and D for the 2026 session.
