Ouagadougou: The first vice-president of the Bomborokuy Special Delegation, L©once Traor©, presided over the opening ceremony of the sports and cultural season for the Bomborokuy Basic Education District (CEB) on Wednesday, April 7, 2026. The launch of activities was marked by a football match between the Y©v©dougou school and the Notre-Dame du Rosaire school.

According to Burkina Information Agency, both teams delivered a performance appreciated by the public, demonstrating the students' commitment and the vitality of school sports, considered a breeding ground for national football talent. After a hard-fought match, the Y©v©dougou team emerged victorious with a score of two goals to zero.

The Head of the Basic Education District (CEB), Sanogo Amidou, stated that school plays a vital role in a child's development and socialization. According to him, particular attention is paid to the socio-emotional and psychomotor development of the learners, thus helping to enhance their physical abilities and strengthen peer interactions.

For his part, the first vice-president of the special delegation urged the participants to demonstrate fair play and respect the rules of the game throughout the competitions. The final of this sporting and cultural season is scheduled for the coming weeks.
