Ouagadougou: The Evangelical Baptist Church 'The Good Fight' of Koukouldi concluded its week of prayer for peace and social cohesion with a donation of equipment to the local Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS), AIB observed.

According to Burkina Information Agency, beginning on September 16, 2026 under the theme "God watches over his word to fulfill it", this week of prayer mobilized many faithful around biblical teachings, praise sessions, and moments of intercession. For several days, the participants meditated on the word of God while formulating prayers for peace, social cohesion, and for the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) engaged in the protection of the national territory.

These spiritual encounters also allowed the faithful to strengthen their faith and their commitment to their community. The closing ceremony was marked by a social action in support of the Koukouldi Health Center. The Church donated two benches, two chairs, two bags of detergent, and blood pressure monitors to the health facility, aiming to improve working conditions for healthcare staff and the patient experience.

According to Church officials, this gesture reflects their desire to contribute to the well-being of the population through concrete support of basic social services. For Pastor Philippe Bado, the Church's action must go beyond purely spiritual activities. "The role of the Church is not only to pray for the community, but also to accompany it on all levels, in a holistic way," he said. He indicated that this initiative is part of the vision of the Evangelical Baptist Church The Good Fight, which intends to associate faith with works useful to the development of the community.

CSPS officials welcomed this gesture of solidarity which strengthens the structure's capacity to fulfill its mission in service to the population.
