The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Only ‘Nusuk’ card holders will be allowed to enter the holy places.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has confirmed that the “Nusuk” smart card for regular pilgrims from the year 1445-2024 is mandatory for all those who wish to enter the holy places, whether they are pilgrims, organizers s ‘occupier of the affairs of pilgrims or workers; emphasizing that there would be no exceptions to this measure, and those who contravene it face sanctions in accordance with the rules and guidelines of the Hajj.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah launched two versions of the ‘Nusuk’ smart card last week: a paper version that pilgrims carry and a digital version accessible by scanning the code on the paper card at the using the phone camera.

The ‘Nusuk’ card has several features in order to serve pilgrims well and better while facilitating and streamlining their travel, underlined the ministry, specifying that the said card also allows them, in real time, to receive important notifications, in particular inf

The ministry reiterated its warning about pilgrimage-related scams, which are advertised on social media in several countries. He stressed that coming to perform the duty of Hajj can only be done after obtaining a Hajj visa issued by the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in coordination with the Hajj affairs offices in these countries or via the ‘Nusuk Hajj’ platform for countries that do not have Hajj missions.
