The PDS of Fada N’Gourma Reiterates Ban on Urban Agriculture

Gourma: The Vice-President of the Special Delegation of the Urban Commune of Fada N'Gourma, Ernest Natama, has reiterated the formal prohibition against conducting agricultural production activities within the urban perimeter of the commune. This announcement was made through an administrative communiqu© issued on behalf of the President of the Special Delegation, dated May 19, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the measure specifically targets tall-stemmed crops such as sorghum, millet, maize, and sesame. The vice-president emphasized that regular inspections will be conducted by the municipal police to ensure adherence to this directive.

Natama warned that violators would face legal consequences. In his statement, he also urged citizens to report any instances of high-growth agricultural activities within the city.

The municipal authority further appealed to the residents to act responsibly by adhering to urbanization and sanitation regulations in the city of Yendabli.
