Ouagadougou: The Presidential Orchestra of Faso offered a concert on Friday evening, September 11, 2026, in Bobo-Dioulasso, under the theme "Resilience and sovereignty", on the occasion of the inauguration of the TEXFORCES-BF factory. The show brought together a huge crowd on the esplanade of the General Aboubacar Sangoul Lamizana stadium. For about four hours, administrative, traditional, religious, and military authorities, as well as many music lovers, came together around the music and the values of resilience and sovereignty.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the conductor of the Presidency of Burkina Faso, Commander Aim Csaire Oudraogo, emphasized that the event goes beyond mere entertainment. "We are not gathered here simply to celebrate musical art, but to magnify the capacity of a people to hope and to remain steadfast. Tonight, the melodies that resonated are messages of resilience, courage, and transformation," he declared.

The first part of the show featured performances by Fush Alpha, the young Princess Sada, the Couple Mondial, Jean Zo, and Kayawoto. The Presidential Orchestra then took over, offering a repertoire blending national sounds and African rhythms, including Wassoulou, salsa, blues, reggae, rock, and Zuluka.

The conductor praised the vision of the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor, regarding cultural promotion. "Under his leadership, culture is no longer perceived as mere entertainment. It is called upon to play its full role in building a conscious people," he emphasized.

The President of the Special Delegation of the municipality of Bobo-Dioulasso, Koutoukou Laurent Kontongom, thanked the Head of State for this gift to the people. He particularly praised the high technical quality of the show, including sound, lighting, and logistics, as well as the talent of the artists and instrumentalists involved.

The Commander of the Second Military Region, Lieutenant-Colonel Lassan Porgo, stated that the concert demonstrated the vitality of Burkina Faso. "What we have achieved through this concert is to show the world that Burkina Faso is resilient, Burkina Faso is alive. This is sovereignty," he declared.

For spectator Aminata Gorou, the show lived up to expectations. "The concert was truly impressive. I didn't regret being there. They are proving that an artist never dies. They deserve to be congratulated," she declared.
