Zoundweogo/gogo: The members of the special delegation of the commune of Gogo have committed to enhancing their efforts in mobilizing financial resources essential for local development initiatives. This resolution followed their third ordinary session, held on September 14 and 15, 2026, in Gogo.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session was presided over by Issa Tiendrebeogo, the President of the Special Delegation (PDS), and conducted in the meeting room of the Gogo town hall. At the session's commencement, Tiendrebeogo praised the punctuality and dedication of the delegation members, acknowledging their contributions to public service and municipal development.
The session commenced with the review and adoption of the minutes from the previous extraordinary session. Members proceeded to assess the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee's (CAEF) report and the authorizing officer's report concerning the draft second amending budget for the fiscal year 2026.
Discussions led to the establishment of an operating budget totaling 21,721,020 FCFA, balanced in revenue and expenditure. The investment budget was set at 8,856,967 FCFA, also balanced. Additionally, the special delegation approved an agreement with the Burkina Information Agency.
The session emphasized revenue mobilization and securing financial resources for the municipality's benefit. Delegation members committed to intensifying their involvement in these efforts to support local development projects.
Under miscellaneous topics, the PDS acknowledged the municipality services' financial mobilization for the police demobilization ceremony, scheduled for September 20, 2026, in Gogo. He also announced the School Excellence Day event on September 26, celebrating student achievements and promoting educational excellence.
Emmanuel Segda, the first vice-president of the special delegation, showcased the prize won by the Gogo team at the Zoundweogo High Commissioner's Cup, which included 25,000 FCFA and a ball. The PDS also updated members on the continuation of work by the commission handling land liabilities, aiming to progress case resolutions.
Concluding the session, the PDS expressed satisfaction with the efficient proceedings and the participants' responsibility. He encouraged the delegation members to sustain their dedication, enhance collaboration, and persist in efforts towards the economic and social advancement of Gogo commune.
