According to Burkina Information Agency, the session was chaired by the president of the special delegation (PDS), Sit©l© Th©odore Sanou. It provided an opportunity for the members of the deliberative body to assess the situation of the commune over the past three years, particularly focusing on the developments in 2024, 2025, and 2026.
During the 48-hour session, participants conducted a financial diagnosis and identified future prospects. On the security front, discussions highlighted how the crisis had affected the municipality's development. Participants praised the recovery measures implemented by the government and advocated for adopting progressive budgetary strategies at the local level, avoiding reactive or unrealistic planning.
The special delegation concluded the session by adopting ten guidelines aimed at stabilizing and reviving the local economy. These guidelines emphasize maintaining basic social services, revitalizing agriculture, mobilizing local resources, and strengthening partnerships and community involvement. The objective is to align with the national momentum for sustainable local development.
District Commissioner Th©odore Sanou of Sit©l© emphasized that successful implementation of these strategies requires objective planning tailored to the municipality's specific context. He stated, "The municipality intends to revitalize the mobilization of its own resources over the next three years to stabilize, revive, and consolidate its achievements, through practical strategies adopted by the delegation members. Community mobilization will be a key lever in this regard."
The PDS also acknowledged the contributions of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in the commune. Additionally, the delegation commended the population for its resilience and encouraged continued efforts, urging adherence to the security instructions issued by the combat forces to aid in the area's recapture.
