The Toma CEB Celebrates Academic Excellence with a 98.31% Pass Rate on the CEP

Hanoi: The Toma Basic Education District (CEB) celebrated its first School Excellence Day on Saturday in Toma, during which awards were presented to the best students, teachers, and schools, as well as to the most resilient school and to organizations that contributed to educational reforms. This celebration recognizes the achievements of the Toma CEB, with a 98.31% pass rate on the Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEP) and a 100% pass rate for entry into sixth grade.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony took place in the presence of municipal, administrative, traditional and religious authorities, defense and security forces, education stakeholders and partners, as well as parents of students and award winners. The provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education in Nayala, Thomas Garan, noted that the CEB of Toma recorded the best provincial performance in the CEP, with 924 candidates presented and a 98.31% success rate.

He also praised the 100% pass rate recorded for entry into sixth grade, as well as the performance of a teacher who achieved a 100% success rate with 80 candidates presented. The president of the special delegation of the municipality of Toma, Zakaria Sawadogo, called for this celebration to become a long-term event. "Celebrating excellence today means making it a permanent cultural practice," he stated, reminding everyone that education is a shared responsibility between the family, the school, the community, and the public authorities.

The head of the Toma CEB, Bruno Ky, indicated that this first edition represents recognition of the merit and work accomplished. He commended the commitment of the teachers, educational supervisors, parents, and educational communities, while expressing his hope that this initiative would become an annual event to promote best practices. The patron, Commander Ousseni Zida, urged the students to maintain their efforts and to make learning a means of better serving the nation. "The hardest thing is not to be better, but to be consistent," he insisted.

The ceremony concluded with the planting of trees donated by the godfather. The CEB of Toma intends to continue this momentum in order to mobilize all stakeholders around education and make it a priority for building a better future.
