Ouagadougou: The World Bank Operations Manager for Niger, Han Fraeters, announced to all his coordinators that disbursements on projects in courses and the preparation of new projects in Niger, can now restart immediately, in a press release made public this Wednesday in Niamey.
To ensure a smooth restart of disbursements as quickly as possible, certain actions must be taken, such as launching the signing process for all contracts awaiting signature. There are currently 107 contracts awaiting signature which must be signed as quickly as possible.
It will also be necessary to group the different DRFs into a single request, while ensuring that we remain below the ceiling of the designated accounts. For example, prepare a single DRF for the last 9 months.
Furthermore, in order to ensure close monitoring in the coming weeks, Han Fraeters asks the collaborators of each project to provide information on a weekly basis (for example, DRF/DPD submitted and paid, Contracts signed / approved / recorded; payments made
on contracts etc.).
