Hanoi:The National School of Public Health (ENSP) has commenced thesis defenses for the 2026 session, marking the completion of training for 46 student health service administrators. These students are expected to utilize their skills to enhance the operations of hospital establishments.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Dr. Compaor Issaka, Director of Higher Education in Health Sciences, emphasized the importance of constructive changes in hospitals. He highlighted that the students, some of whom are already working in hospital structures, have been trained to act as intermediaries between the administration and various health system stakeholders.
Dr. Compaor Issaka further explained that the administrators should understand the healthcare system and collaborate with specialists to achieve optimal patient outcomes. They are expected to participate in decision-making processes within health facilities and help address challenges in the health system.
The first thesis defense by Som Sota Aim focused on factors causing delays in accessing dialysis treatment at the Souro Sanou University Hospital Center. Achieving a score of 17/20, Aim chose this topic due to its social relevance and personal experiences with relatives struggling to access dialysis. He noted improvements from national initiatives but pointed out ongoing issues with dialysis center capacity.
The jury chairman commended Som Sota Aim's work, describing it as a "great performance" that demonstrates his potential to contribute effectively in the field. The training program is designed to equip future administrators with skills to support health establishments in management and patient care improvement.
