Mouhoun: On the occasion of the celebration of its 30th anniversary, the Tcheriba Municipal Police paid a vibrant tribute on Friday, December 5, 2025, to the customary and religious authorities of the commune, in recognition of their constant support in the accomplishment of its sovereign missions.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was held under the theme: "Municipal Police, thirty years in service to the people: assessment, challenges and prospects," and was an opportunity to acknowledge the commitment of community leaders who have continuously supported the institution through civic education and raising awareness among the population since its inception.

A delegation from the Municipal Police presented gifts to the canton chief and the imam of Tcheriba, symbolizing the institution's gratitude towards individuals whose support has contributed to the consolidation of social peace and community cohesion. The canton chief expressed his gratitude for this mark of esteem and reaffirmed his commitment to the Municipal Police, offering blessings for the success of its missions.

The imam of Tcheriba also welcomed the initiative and congratulated the officers for their dedication to public safety. He prayed for peace, cohesion, and the harmonious development of the community. The festivities included a popular cross-country race organized on Saturday, December 6, by the Association of Civil Servants and Traders of Tcheriba, in collaboration with the Municipal Police, which mobilized many participants from professional bodies and residents, the direct beneficiaries of the Municipal Police's actions.

The Municipal Police Commander, Yacouba Bayoule, praised the strong mobilization, which served as proof of the population's support for public safety missions. He expressed his hope that this dynamic of solidarity would continue to strengthen social peace and community development. Guiguima Sanou, secretary general of the town hall, representing the PDS, expressed gratitude to the municipal employees for their professionalism and dedication to the community.

Through these actions, the Tcheriba Municipal Police marks its thirty years of existence and reaffirms its commitment to remain alongside the people to meet security challenges and promote community well-being.
