To©c©: The citizens of the commune of To©c© took part in a large-scale cleanup effort targeting unsanitary areas of their city on Saturday, April 4, 2026. This initiative is part of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation, which began on March 26.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the To©c© municipality, Harouna Nana, officially launched the community clean-up day at the Prefecture. The event saw enthusiastic participation from various sectors, including public and private sector workers, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), students, and even people living with disabilities. Their collective efforts aimed to enhance the sanitation of key areas such as the prefecture, the police station, the town hall, and the medical center.
Citizens demonstrated their community spirit by contributing resources to purchase face masks and water, ensuring the safety and comfort of all participants during the cleanup activities. At the conclusion of the event, Harouna Nana extended his gratitude to the citizens for their active involvement and encouraged them to maintain this momentum of patriotic commitment and citizen participation.
He also emphasized the importance of sustaining this spirit by promoting Burkinabe culture, particularly through wearing traditional clothing and consuming local food during the ongoing National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Civic Participation.
