To©c©: The Muslim community of the commune of To©c© celebrated the Tabaski festival this Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the usual prayer place, in the presence of administrative authorities, representatives of the Catholic and Protestant communities, as well as custodians of tradition. The Muslim faithful of the commune of To©c© mobilized for the celebration of Tabaski marked by prayers and invocations for peace, social cohesion, and the well-being of the entire Burkinab¨ population.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the prayer was led by the Grand Imam of To©c©, El Hadj Karim Baguian, who, in his sermon, emphasized interreligious tolerance, which he presented as one of the main pillars of social cohesion. He called on the various segments of society to cultivate living together and to work towards strengthening national unity.

At the end of the prayer, the faithful Muslims offered blessings for peace in Burkina Faso, social cohesion, and prosperity for the entire nation. Father Georges Bilgo of the parish of To©c©, on behalf of the representatives of the other religious communities of the commune present at the ceremony, wished a happy holiday to all Muslims and expressed wishes for peace, understanding, and fraternity for the people of the commune.

Chief Naaba Saaga of To©c© canton expressed his wishes for peace in Burkina Faso. The President of the special delegation (PDS) of To©c©, Harouna Nana, for his part, welcomed this communion between the different religious denominations, a symbol of living together and solidarity which characterizes the commune.
