Toece Sports and Cultural Activities Kick Off in Toudou

Toece: The official opening of sports and cultural activities in the Toece Basic Education District was celebrated in the village of Toudou. The ceremony was attended by local administrative and traditional authorities, marking the beginning of a new edition of the Sports and Culture Organization in Primary Schools (OSCEP) activities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was held under the patronage of Mr. Harouna Nana, President of the Toece Special Delegation, and was chaired by Ousmane Congo, head of the Toece Basic Education District (CEB). The Toudou canton chief, Naaba Tigre, was also present to witness the event. This year's activities are themed "Fulfillment and Excellence through Sport in a Reformed School."

During his speech, Mr. Congo highlighted the significance of sports and cultural activities in children's development. He encouraged the organizers to emphasize fair play and cohesion during the various competitions. The Toece District Sports Director congratulated participants and called for the support of community members and education partners to ensure the success of this edition.

The ceremony also featured a speech from Mathias Tiendrebeogo, Secretary General of the Toece School Sports and Cultural Activities Committee. He provided a summary of the previous edition's activities and explained the organization of the qualifying rounds for this year's event. The event concluded with a parade of schools, followed by a football match between Loussa and Toudou schools, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
