Tribute to the martyrs: The High Commissioner of Ioba calls for unity

Dano, On the occasion of the national day of tribute to the martyrs of October 30 and 31, 2014, the High Commissioner, Bernadette Adenyo / Sermé called on Tuesday for unity in order to end to the loss of life that we continue to record.

Like several other provinces, the day of homage to the martyrs was celebrated in the Ioba province at the Dano high police station.

The commemorative ceremony was marked by the observation of a minute of silence in a nationally synchronized manner from 10:00 am

At the end of the minute of silence, all the participants mobilized for the occasion sang the victory anthem “Le Ditanyè”.

This is the moment chosen by the first official of the Ioba province to address the constituent bodies.

In an emotional message, Bernadette Adenyo said the minute of silence observed is a moment of introspection for everyone.

All of Burkina Faso held his breath at 10 am in tribute to these people who lost their lives.

But we must continue to meditate because after the insurrection and the failed coup d'état, we continue to record martyrs in Burkina Faso, she continued.

This is why the High Commissioner asked the following question: “what must we do to put an end to this vicious circle?”

To do this, she invited everyone into the unity that the national anthem brings us. According to her, the actions we take should not contribute to taking lives but to preserving them; nor should they contribute to destroying this country but, on the contrary, to enabling it to achieve its letters of nobility.

Bernadette Adenyo / Sermé concluded by inviting parents to advise young people so that they can lead “the boat” of Burkina Faso towards the ideal that we all dream of.
