Ouagadougou: Economic operator El Hadj Sayouba Tinto offers food and cash to widows of VDPs. El Hadj Sayouba Tinto, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in Hound©, extended support in the form of food and financial aid totaling 1,370,000 FCFA to the widows of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) in Tuy province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this gesture of solidarity included donating 25 kg bags of rice valued at approximately 900,000 FCFA and a financial package of 470,000 FCFA to the widows. El Hadj Sayouba Tinto expressed that this act was a token of recognition for the sacrifices made by the VDPs who ensured the country's security.
Recognizing the significance of the VDPs' contributions, Tinto remarked, "These VDPs gave their lives for the nation, and thanks to their sacrifice, we are able to carry out our activities today."
Albertine Dabir©, representing the beneficiaries, conveyed gratitude towards the donor, hoping for blessings upon his generous act. Meanwhile, Yacouba Millogo, commander of the territorial gendarmerie brigade and provincial coordinator of the VDP of Tuy, emphasized the impact of this donation in uplifting the morale of both the families of the deceased and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS).
Millogo stated, "This reassures the FDS and shows that citizens are ready to support them in the reconquest of national territory."
Presiding over the ceremony, Issiaka Segda, High Commissioner of Tuy Province, applauded the initiative and urged others to emulate this example by supporting the families of the fighting forces.
