Tuy/Educational conferences: High school and college teachers at the APC/PI school


The High Commissioner, Issiaka Segda, opened on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 in Houndé the capacity building sessions for post-primary and secondary school teachers and technical and vocational training teachers in the province of Tuy on the Skills Approach/Integration Pedagogy (APC/PI).

More than 500 high school and college teachers are taking part in the training sessions on the Competency-Based Approach/Integration Pedagogy (APC/PI) in the province of Tuy. For four days (from September 24 to 27), general education teachers will take ownership of the learning on the APC/PI and for those in technical and vocational training, the in-training monitoring. The opening of the work took place on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the private evangelical high school La Lumière in Houndé by the High Commissioner of Tuy, Issiaka Segda in the presence of the first regional and provincial officials of post-primary and secondary education. Commissioner, it emerged that the Competency-Based Approach (CBA) has among other objectives to increase the motivation of learners by giving more meaning to learning, to reduce academic failure and to increase the fairness of the system by allowing the weakest to remedy their shortcomings.

The regional director of post-primary and secondary education for Hauts-Bassins, Frédéric Armand D’Almeida, for his part, urged participants to take ownership of these days and participate actively so that when they leave, they can strengthen their skills for the benefit of learners.
