Accra: The Burkina Faso Junior Stallions arrived Tuesday morning in Accra, the Ghanaian capital, to participate in the Union of West African Football Federations Zone B (UFOA-B U20) tournament in their category, which will kick off on July 10, according to the Burkinabe Football Federation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the U20 Stallions were welcomed as they disembarked from the plane by the Ambassador of Burkina Faso to Ghana, His Excellency Mr. David Kabr©. The Burkinabe team will begin its competition on July 11 against the juniors of C´te d'Ivoire before facing Togo for its second outing on July 14.
Burkina Faso is in Group B along with Ivory Coast, Niger, and Togo, while Group A is composed of host country Ghana, Nigeria, and Benin. Host country Ghana will open the ball against Nigeria in the West African derby between neighbors.
The entire group stage schedule is as follows: July 10 at 3:00 p.m. will feature Ghana vs. Nigeria. On July 11, Ivory Coast will face Burkina Faso at 3:00 p.m., followed by Niger against Togo at 6:00 p.m. The matches continue on July 13 with Nigeria vs. Benin at 3:00 p.m. On July 14, Niger will play against Ivory Coast at 3:00 p.m., and Burkina Faso will face Togo at 6:00 p.m. On July 16, Benin is set to play against Ghana at 3:00 p.m., and on July 17, Burkina Faso will meet Niger at 3:00 p.m., while Togo will play against Ivory Coast at the same time.
