Ugandan army commander Muhoozi Kainerugaba has issued an ultimatum to U.S. Ambassador to Kampala William Popp, demanding that he "personally apologize to Museveni" within three days or leave the country, the Ugandan newspaper Nile Post reported. Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni is Kainerugaba's father.According to the commander, the American ambassador "is engaged in activities in our country that are incompatible with his diplomatic status."Mr Kainerugaba noted that Uganda had no problem with the United States, but "recently we have a lot of evidence that they [the Americans] are working against our government."'It is my duty to tell Ugandans that our people are facing a serious confrontation with the current US ambassador to our country,' Kainerugaba said.
