Ouagadougou: The Association for the Promotion of Community Health and Development of the Center-North (APSCD/CN) organized on September 6, 2024 in Kaya a communication and visibility meeting on the Universal Health Insurance Scheme (RAMU) for the benefit of health workers in the Kaya health district.This conclave is part of the implementation of the community monitoring project to improve access for vulnerable groups and internally displaced persons to health services, health insurance and social protection in Burkina Faso.According to the organizers, this communication meeting aims to strengthen the professional capacities of health workers for better appropriation of RAMU.As a result, the discussions focused on the presentation of the project and above all allowed the participants to acquire more knowledge about RAMU and its implementation.For the focal point, the project intends to boost the quality of care in health facilities in the Kaya health area for the period from April 2024 to December 202 5."The project is based on community monitoring in order to overcome obstacles linked to geographical and physical access to health services, as well as other cross-cutting obstacles such as delays or inadequacies in the reimbursement of health care costs," stressed Camille Sawadogo.He added that it will also help meet the health information needs of the population.Source: Burkina Information Agency
