The Minister of Higher Education, Adjima Thiombiano, on Wednesday urged the populations of Tapoa to show active solidarity, because according to him, the path to victory over terrorism lies in the union of Burkinabés, far from political agendas. As part of a working and contact tour initiated by the government, a delegation led by the Ministers of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Adjima Thiombiano, Humanitarian Action and National Solidarity, Nandy Some/Diallo; the Governor of the East, the First Vice-President of the ALT and the Mission Officer of the Presidency, went to Diapaga, in Tapoa, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.The delegation first met with the FDS and the VDP, then paid a courtesy visit to the customary and religious authorities before talking with the province's key players. This meeting was held at the town hall of Diapaga. It brought together around a hundred people, made up of several leaders from the different socio-professional groups in the province. At the outset, the head of the mission clarified the purpose of the mission, which is part of the resolutions taken by the government on the instructions of the President of Faso, aimed at making contact with the grassroots populations to provide true information on the national situation. In frank and direct language, Minister Thiombiano affirmed that the path to victory against terrorism lies in the union of Burkinabés, far from political agendas. For him, the culture of hatred and the unnecessary division of citizens only add fuel to the fire of Burkina's enemies. He also called on people to stop using social media that only glorifies terrorists. Thus, on behalf of the President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the minister congratulated the populations of the province for their efforts, their dynamism and their willingness to support the transition. However, much remains to be done in Tapoa, because it is still one of the localities where moral and social values ??are crumbling. This is why he called on each Tapoalais to play his part , because what has prevailed in our commitment to the path of total independence of the country must continue until the total completion of the process, namely the reconquest of the territory. This is a work that requires a lot of effort and perseverance on the part of everyone. The main concerns of the population of Tapoa focused on food, health, education, mobility problems in the province and the return of displaced people to their villages. To all these concerns, and with the support of the Minister of Humanitarian Action, the delegation was able to provide satisfactory answers. And it was a thunder of applause that ended the meeting, signifying the unity of action around the President of Faso and his government, but above all the commitment to future battles.Source: Burkina Information Agency
