Villa Culvert Rehabilitation Restores Traffic Between Bingo and Kokologho

Bingo: Traffic on the road linking the town of Bingo to Kokologho has been restored since June 7, 2026, due to the rehabilitation of the Villa Culvert, as observed by AIB on site.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Villa Culvert was severely damaged by storms in 2025, hindering local populations' access since May 7. The strategic Villa crossing, essential for accessing National Route No. 1, underwent emergency rehabilitation led by the Ministry of Construction.

The intervention followed a field visit by a technical mission, including the regional director of Nando, Yassia Ou©draogo, and the provincial director of Boulkiemd©, Souleymane Tingueri. Accompanied by the President of the Bingo Special Delegation, Yacouba Gouem, officials assessed the mobility constraints faced by residents. The temporary technical solution implemented is designed to withstand water flow and ensure user safety until a permanent bridge is constructed.

District Commissioner of Bingo, Yacouba Gouem, commended the Ministry of Construction's technical services for their responsiveness. He highlighted the authorities' commitment to addressing population concerns and promoting local development by improving rural access.

The reopening of the passage has restored traffic flow and revitalized the socio-economic activities of Bingo's inhabitants.
