Banwa: The village of Ban donates 90 bags of corn and 1,050,000 FCFA to the VDP (Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland). The population of the village of Ban, located 20 km from Solenzo, made a donation this Friday of 90 bags of 100 kg of corn and a sum of one million fifty thousand (1,050,000) FCFA to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the village.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the head of citizen watch in Ban, Abdoul Wahab Sor©, expressed that this generous contribution was facilitated by the understanding and solidarity among the villagers. The event highlights the community’s dedication to supporting local defense initiatives.
The handover of the donation was officiated by Marou Ilboudo, the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Solenzo. Before proceeding with the distribution ceremony, President Ilboudo paid his respects to the village chief, Sab©r© Ki©nou. During the ceremony, President Ilboudo commended the villagers for their significant gesture. “After the construction of the hospital wards, today it is the VDP’s turn to receive a huge donation of food, and this is to be applauded,” he remarked. He further encouraged the continuation of such acts of solidarity, cohesion, and mutual support among the community members.
